Next up in our #DowntheAisleTheyGo series is – Tabatha + Brent. One of my bridesmaid recommended my services to Tabatha. This lovely couple will be getting married over Labor Day weekend at 701 Whaley in Columbia, SC. I just love this venue for its exposed walls, high ceilings, open windows, and steel beams. Read below to learn more about this wonderful couple and some of their wedding details.
Groom: Brent
How did you meet? Way way way way way back at a part-time summer job. I went over to a friend’s desk and later that night she told me that he was interested in taking me on a date. Of course I took him up on the offer (he was cute) and we went to the movies to see “Romeo Must Die”. We date for a “few” and do mean “few”, but eventually went our separate ways. We remained distant, but good friends over the years and eventually distant because close, close and closer.
How did he pop the question… were you expecting it? Definitely not a fairytale proposal, but of course ideal for us. We were having a disagreement that expanded over a few days and almost at the point of no return for me. He came over on a Sunday evening to make sure he was able to say his piece… and JESUS the next thing I know he was standing behind me saying “please turn around, I need to ask you something”. I’ll be the first to admit, I’m stubborn. So I say with contingencies (who does that) and he responded “I’ll do whatever you need me to do”.
In three words, describe your wedding: Glamorous, Party & LOVE!
Now the details: Theme ~ Old Hollywood Glam in the 21st Century, Color ~ Blush, blackberry with touches of gold, Must Haves ~ FUN, FUN, FUN… I want this to be an awesome time; take your shoes off, let your hair down and let’s get on the dance floor!
What are your most looking forward to on your wedding day? Having family and friends come together for a great time, getting glammed up and seeing the smiles on people’s faces.
